Sometimes it’s not always the most handsome, sometimes it’s not always the most athletic, and sometimes it not always the most talented that rise to the top and become champion. Many times it is the one with the most heart, determination, and passion that takes the crown and it has been like that for many years. This rings true in many sports not just in the WWE, from football to golf it many times isn’t always the most popular choice that wins but it’s the one who wants it the most.
Enter Daniel Bryan, the popular choice of the fans but the not the popular choice for the WWE brass. Let’s face it the McMahon’s are on a power trip right now with Mr. McMahon and Triple H leading the way. In case you missed it Daniel Bryan and John Cena faced off in the World Championship match at Summer Slam, with Bryan becoming victorious. As we all know Randy Orton was the winner of the Money in the Bank match and was eager to cash it in and this was his opportunity. Just as it seemed that he would leave and save the briefcase for another day, from behind special guest referee Triple H used his signature move, The Pedigree, on Daniel Bryan leaving him laid out in the center of the ring. Seeing this Orton cashed in his briefcase and became the new WWE champion.
This was the setup all along, Mr. McMahon never liked John Cena becoming WWE champion but the thought of Bryan being champion was just too much so he devised a grand scheme to make sure Orton would be the face of the franchise. Needless to say this left a sour taste in not only many fans mouths but also many of the superstars of the WWE. You can bet that Daniel Bryan will be back and he will be after Randy Orton and that WWE championship, but will the McMahon’s give him that shot? Only time will tell but it is something that many fans feel he truly deserves.
