Good “KHARMA” for the WWE

In the great words of Good Ol’ J.R., “Business is about to pick up!” as WWE’s newest acquisition and latest member of the divas roster has hit the ground running. Kia Stevens, formally known to wrestling fans as Awesome Kong; debuted at WWE’s most recent PPV, Extreme Rules; after a series of vignettes depicted an unnamed shadowy figure dismembering dolls that one could only assume was a direct correlation to the current batch of WWE Divas. Only recently, despite rampant speculation did we learn from the very last promo that Kia Stevens was indeed that shadowy figure and she would now be known as a sadistic eradicator named Kharma. In a very symbolic gesture, as one Diva was having her final match at WWE’s Extreme Rules; Kharma was making her inaugural appearance at that very Diva’s expense.

Distracted by the realization that WWE Diva Michelle McCool had performed in front of a WWE crowd for the very last time, Kharma’s theme music filled the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida as she appeared from behind the curtain to the fan’s astonishment. Looking to make an immediate impact, the 5’9 272 pounder slowly disrobed from her armor as the sobbing McCool looked on in disbelief. Kharma began stalking her prey like a starving un-caged beast, salivating at McCool’s every jolt and tremble. As the terrified Diva tried to make one last dash at escape, Kharma captured McCool by her flowing blonde locks and positioned her for what many have seen to be the last conscious moment for any opponent across the ring from Kharma. It was time for Michelle McCool to meet her maker, as Kharma thrust McCool into a bent position and double under-hooked her shivering arms, lifting her casualty into an upside down vertical predicament and then planting her chest first into the canvas with every bit of Kharma’s weight enforcing the blow.

Ms. McCool had been the first victim of what many will come to know as the Kharma Buster, all the while her maniacal laughter plays as the backdrop to this heinous destruction. Fast-forward one night later, Monday Night Raw generating from American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida has a scheduled Diva’s bout between former WWE Diva’s titleholder Maryse and newly drafted Diva Kelly Kelly. Less than a minute into the match, as Kelly Kelly is establishing her dominance over the arrogant French Canadian; the arena is once again interrupted by the deranged cackle of Kharma. Kelly Kelly squirmed to the nearest corner of the ring, frozen in fear while this maddened monstrosity systematically went through her disrobing routine.

The conscious Kelly looked on in fear as the weary and incoherent Maryse lie as a sitting duck. Kharma looked blissful at the thought of having two Divas to destroy, but at the last minute opted to only dismantle Maryse, in the exact fashion that Michelle McCool had experienced the night before. One has to wonder why Kharma chose to spare the petrified Kelly Kelly, but I’m sure in the weeks going forward we will soon have our answer.
