Wrestling Updates - Catching up on things
It's been a little while hasn't it? Sorry about that... a crashed laptop and a cell phone ban at my job hindered my ability to write anything for a short while but I'm back with a vengence and ready to cover some ground on things I've missed along the way...
The world of professional wrestling lost a true legend in the "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Growing up, my sister, father and I all were big wrestling fans and through all the different opinions we had on different wrestlers, Macho Man was a favorite of us all. With his multi-colored robes, dynamic promos and his uun-matched in ring work, there was no denying his charisma and talent. I've watched his Wrestlemania 3 match with Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat at least 20 times and that match is a huge reason as to why im the wrestling fan I am today. Rest in Peace Macho Man. You inspired and will be missed my many.
Some random thoughts of the WWE:
-Wade Barrett better be on the cusp of a main-event push after losing his Intercontinental Championship to Ezekiel Jackson. I understand the want to push Jackson but with the lack of depth on Smackdown as it pertains to main-event talent, Wade Barrett would make the show more interesting
- R-Truth = best character change ever. The world is full of little Jimmy's. Now its time they know their role.
- Will someone please push Zack Ryder?!?

- I went to the WWE supershow in New Jersey Saturday and besides the fact that the Miz evokes the strongest reaction from the WWE Universe than anyone else there, the only thing to write home about was the show stealer that Christian and Daniel Bryan had. Daniel Bryan got virtually no reaction on his way out to the ring but after putting on an incredible match, he recieved a standing ovation after his match. Daniel Bryan is a workhorse and would be a beast if booked correctly as a heel.
- I really hope CM Punk doesn't leave the WWE. And if he does I hope its not for long. He is the best heel on the roster and my favorite WWE superstar at this time. I hope the WWE realizes its mistake and books him to win the title and gives him a lengthy title run. He deserves it.
- Money in the Bank will be the first pay per view I order since Wrestlemania. I'm always intrigued by the WWE and their selections for the future of the company. I hope Wade Barrett and John Morrison come up big this year. Alberto Del Rio wouldn't be a bad choice either.
- I hate John Cena. With that being said, I understand that he is currently the most popular WWE Superstar and makes the most money for the company. But can we please do something to make him a bit more interesting. I mean, freshen him up a little bit. His act is old and stale and I know i'm not the only one tired of it.
And TNA... or Impact Wrestling... or whatever you want to be called this week... good call on putting the world title on Mr. Anderson. And this Bound for Glory series interests me as well. And your bringing back the X division? Well it seems like my interest in your product has actually grown. If you keep going down this path and giving the fans what they want, you may have a chance of doing some kind of good business soon...
