Why So Serious?!

Wrestling has been trying hard to keep up with World Wrestling Entertainment. The past two weeks WWE broadcasted live 3 hour Monday night Raw's. With that being said one would think it would have been hard for TNA to keep up in the ratings. Not to mention everything else that is wrestling. Has anyone been wondering where Ric Flair has been the past few weeks? The Nature Boy paid up to $35,000 to a website known as Highspots.com. The following was said by them on their Facebook page: "Letting our own social media get the scoop, we have FINALLY been paid by Ric Flair for the debt dating back years ago. No jail time for Naitch. Whichever Angel pitched in the $ for him THANK YOU." I find it extremely funny that the limousine riding, jet flying, money making Ric Flair had a hard time paying off debuts, but obviously he's a victim of the recession as well. Scott Hall tried to avoid some jail time, but was arrested in late May. Scott Hall was picked up for being too drunk in public and causing some ruckus. Jesse James "BG James" Armstrong had a few words to say about Hall's wrestling skills: "It was pitiful and disgusting to see the videos of Scott Hall. I know there's help there for him. But he just really doesn't want to quit what he's doing. And he's a friend of mine." Also discussing his own substance problems that he dealt with last year when TNA had to let him go. "I had been famous. I'd made a ton of money. Then I got fired and it felt like everything was crumbling. I understand exactly where he (Hall) is at. I pray for him every morning. I've been there. When you can't handle life, you just want to alter your mind. I hadn't saved any money. I went through it like a crazy rock star. The only thing I knew was to take more drugs. I shut myself in my home. I contemplated suicide." Entering rehab since then Jesse James has been on the road to recovery. "The last seven months I've had serenity. I'm a husband, a father. My life is good today." A few others stars have also been missing from the roster. Matt Hardy has been making headlines lately and one of these problems is the fact that he continues to arrive late at events. Apparently posting an online video and making some very rude remarks on Twitter. Sometimes it's better to keep your mouth shut and not say anything all, but not Matt Hardy.

Although the ratings aren't necessarily up, they have been making improvements. The past few weeks of Impact Wrestling kicked off the famous Destination X pay per view. All of the matches involved being made X-Division matches. We have seen some old school X-Division wrestlers make their returns. One of them will get a contract and the right to be on the television show every week. We have seen the likes of Jimmy Rave, Kid Kash, Austin Aries, even Jetty Lynn himself! I for one am finally excited to see a TNA pay per view. Not to mention the X-Division finally getting back into the picture with Jeff Jarrett finally moving to Mexico after losing to Kurt Angle a couple weeks ago. Once arriving to Mexico Jeff Jarrett would prove to be a tough man to defeat. Making history just days after arriving in Mexico City by becoming the new AAA World Heavyweight Champion at TripleMania XIX. He was of course accompanied to ring side by his wife Karen, defeated El Zorro to win Mexico's prestigious title. After throwing power in El Zorro's face and beating he with a kendo stick. Leave it up to Jeff Jarrett to win a title by cheating! All I can say is finally, no more Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Jarrett. Enough is enough.

Aside from the awesome high flying action that the X-Division brings there will be some heavyweights involved at the pay per view, including Abyss himself. Abyss will have to put his X-Division Championship on the line against Brian Kendrick. Samoa Joe is going to try his luck against Kaz and I'm sure more spectacular matches will be added. Speaking of spectacular matches I have to go back and mention last Thursday's X-Division match. Shima Xion proved to be tough as he wins and goes onto the Destination X pay per view. He defeated Dakota Darso and Federico Palacious, who worked under ROH as Azrieal. Now he works under his real name and goes on to face Austin Aries and a person yet to be named. AJ Styles also made a promo announcing some big news this past Thursday. Saying that he's going to return to the X-Division at the Destination X pay per view and so is the six sided ring. With everyone watching in the back every felt that Christopher Daniels was about to come out. Daniels challenges AJ to a match at the pay per view and rightfully so AJ accepts. Just when you think it couldn't get any better. Samoa Joe comes out and announces that he wants back into the X-Division too. This can only mean one thing that these three guys are trying to boost the X-Division, or they just miss being in the spotlight. Crimson still undefeated now that's some pretty big news. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens, even though we've seen storylines before with these three guys. Maybe it will be better this time around. How many will watch is the question?

The knockouts are kind of being let out of the pay per view. Miss Tessmacher and Velvet Sky have been creating quite the stir. With a new entrance and getting beat this past week by Miss Jackie and ODB. You heard it right; these two knockouts are back and want contracts. Obviously the storyline with Velvet, Winter, and Angelina has gone out the window. Why or how come, I don't know, but they should have at least said why Angelina turned on Velvet instead of just dropping it like the whole thing never happened. Winter has been on quite the roll lately, beating Mickie in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Hopefully they throw the girls into the pay per view and give them something to fight about. This week's edition of Impact Wrestling is going to be limited commercial interruption for the first time ever! How awesome is that?! The Destination X card has a few spots to fill up yet and hopefully this week's Impact will solve some questions. Sting's running around like crazy and no one knows what's going threw his mind. Attacking Eric Bischoff and painting his face up was pretty funny, but I must point this out. Does anyone else see the Joker from Batman in the Stinger? Maybe it's his new gimmick and just wants to make everyone "think" he's insane. Whatever he's doing it seems to be working and Bischoff doesn't like it. With only days left before the big pay per view. What will happen next?
