Will Payback live up to the hype?

In this article we want to look at the upcoming Pay-Per-View event for the WWE, Payback.  Many are saying this could be Ryback’s coming out party where he will become the new WWE champion, but this event has many marquee match-ups that we want to look at and we have our own predictions.  Needless to say that the WWE has lined up a solid card, now let’s see if our predictions will pan out on Sunday night.

Kane vs. Dean Ambrose (U.S. championship)

This match-up really came out of Team Hell No’s inability to see eye to eye, so it could be a blessing in disguise for Kane.  There is no doubt that in this match Kane has the upper hand on strength and experience but Ambrose is a wild card when it comes to his style.

Prediction: Ambrose will lose the title to Kane, if the scenario plays out it could mean that all members of the SHEILD will lose the gold in one night.  Look for Kane’s strength to be the deciding factor in this match.

Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns

This match has been formed out of the dislike that Orton and Bryan have for each other.  No doubt in this match Rollins and Reigns have the advantage as far as teaming together but based on sheer excitement Bryan and Orton are an electric tag team but can they put their differences aside and make this thing work?

Prediction: Orton and Bryan will take the titles, the fact is this just makes too good of a story line for the WWE to use.  But in that would this mean the end of Team Hell No?  Another great story line for the WWE, but we will see.

Chris Jericho vs. C.M. Punk

This is the “Best in the World” match-up that again we all have waited for, also the return of one of the most loved/hated characters in the WWE, C.M.Punk.  There are many ways we could lean on this one, fact is we are just stoked that Punk and Jericho are set to face off once again.

Prediction: I find it hard to believe that Punk will lose in his return back to the WWE and also I find it hard to believe that Punk will lose in his hometown of Chicago.  With this one all I can say is well played WWE, not only do you get Punk back but you also do it in his hometown.

Ryback vs. John Cena

In this match we have the two men with the most to settle, Ryback tired of being in the shadow of John Cena and Cena tired of listening to Ryback whine about not getting his shot.  The fact is both men have shown there is no love lost between both and they are ready to handle their business in the three stages of hell match.

Prediction: I believe it is Ryback’s time, but at the same time this will be one of the most brutal matches that we have seen over the years.  Ryback will walk away as the new WWE champion but know this Cena will get his rematch and this could be a feud that could be long lasting.

There are other matches that will be going on but we wanted to highlight these four, we will see if our predictions pan out.  Don’t forget to tune in Sunday night for the Pay-Per-View Payback and let us know what you think of our predictions.

Does Ryback have a point about Cena?

We all know that Ryback has a ton of talent and when he burst on the scene he was a force to be reckoned with, powering through each of the opponents that he faced.  There were a few times where Ryback was in line for the WWE title only to have those dreams dashed by the SHEILD.  It seems that the SHELD focused on Ryback for a time and it seemed that they attacked him at the times when he was in a huge match.  In this article I want to look at both sides of this argument, from both Cena’s side and Ryback’s side.  At the end of this article maybe you can come to the conclusion on who’s to blame.  If there is anyone to blame at all.

Ryback’s side:

It seems that every time the SHIELD attacked Ryback had no help to back him up and it was in the times where he was battling for the championship.  Was it truly because Cena knew that if Ryback won the championship that he would be a bigger draw than Cena?  Was Cena jealous of what Ryback could become if he was champion?  The fact is there were 7 times when Ryback was attacked and there was no Cena to come to his aide, why?  Cena obviously had issues with the SHIELD and they with him but why did he not come to the rescue of Ryback?  Could Ryback be correct in his assumptions of Cena or is he just whining to find a way to the championship?

Cena’s side:

In the same sense that Ryback complained about Cena not coming to his aide, the same could be said of Ryback.  There were times when Cena was left out to dry and the SHEILD made an example of him.  Cena could be correct that Ryback is constantly whining about no one coming to his aide when the fact is many athletes have faced the same problem with the SHEILD (Kingston, Bryan, etc…) with no one coming to their side.  It is not as though Cena needs to come to the rescue of every wrestler that has issues, in Cena’s own words you have to understand that this is the WWE and each wrestler has his own battles that he must face.  Could Cena be right in Ryback is just whining or could he be jealous of what Ryback could become?

Conclusion:

Ryback went off the deep end; Cena has helped Ryback on many occasions but not every time.  Cena has long been known as the WWE’s super hero coming to the aide of many wrestlers but at the same time he can’t be there every time.  Although Ryback could be right in his assumptions of jealousy he has completely gone to the dark side to get his shot at Cena.  Tell me what do you think?

WWE’s version of the family feud

Let’s face it when Triple H confronted Paul Heyman a couple of weeks ago after a brutal battle with Brock Lesnar you knew there would be fireworks.  Heyman has a knack for bringing out the anger in people, I would say that is his best quality as a manager but there are some people you just don’t want to anger and Triple H is one of them.  So as he began to spout off how Lesnar dominated Triple H and how Lesnar broke Triple H you knew “The Game” would not stand by and let this continue, so as he proceeded to confront Heyman, the newest client Curtis Axel felt the need to speak up.  Axel told Triple H that in order to get to Heyman he would have to go through him; Triple H put the up and coming star in his place by slapping him and setting up a match with him for that night on RAW.  So the match was set Axel vs. The Game, during the match something was off with Triple H and eventually he could not make it back into the ring because of the battle that had taken place the night before with Lesnar.  Triple H had sustained injuries from the match when Lesnar struck him with a sledgehammer in the jaw and those injuries prevented him from being on top of his game against Axel, thus he could not continue.  Here is where things get interesting.

Triple H was bound and determined to get back in the ring, especially since Heyman and Axel were spouting off about how Axel had man handled Triple H and how he was no match for the rising star.  Just as Triple H was ready to make his way back, his wife Stephanie made the announcement that “The Game” would not be facing Axel and even had Mr. McMahon back her in the decision, only problem was there was no discussion with Triple H in the matter.  So began the family feud, Triple H was bound and determined to face Axel and made it clear that the next week he would face Axel no matter what.  So with the start of this weeks RAW, Triple H and Axel faced off, in the middle of the match Mr. McMahon makes his way down to the ring and calls the match for Axel, as he leaves Triple H steps out and has the match restarted.  Mr. McMahon then comes back to the ring and announces the match is over again to which Triple H then restarts the match and determines it an Iron Man match, finally McMahon comes to the ring tells Axel and Heyman to leave the area and takes the bell and microphone with him.  Triple H is furious and goes looking for McMahon and instead finds his wife who pleads with him not to hurt her father.  She then sets up a meeting and a ‘make up session’ for her husband and father.

No doubt that this is far from over, the pride of both these men is enormous and Triple H will eventually have his way with Axel but at what cost?  Only time will tell how far this feud will go but there is no doubt that this could continue for weeks to come.
