In this article we want to look at the upcoming Pay-Per-View event for the WWE, Payback. Many are saying this could be Ryback’s coming out party where he will become the new WWE champion, but this event has many marquee match-ups that we want to look at and we have our own predictions. Needless to say that the WWE has lined up a solid card, now let’s see if our predictions will pan out on Sunday night.
Kane vs. Dean Ambrose (U.S. championship)
This match-up really came out of Team Hell No’s inability to see eye to eye, so it could be a blessing in disguise for Kane. There is no doubt that in this match Kane has the upper hand on strength and experience but Ambrose is a wild card when it comes to his style.
Prediction: Ambrose will lose the title to Kane, if the scenario plays out it could mean that all members of the SHEILD will lose the gold in one night. Look for Kane’s strength to be the deciding factor in this match.
Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns
This match has been formed out of the dislike that Orton and Bryan have for each other. No doubt in this match Rollins and Reigns have the advantage as far as teaming together but based on sheer excitement Bryan and Orton are an electric tag team but can they put their differences aside and make this thing work?
Prediction: Orton and Bryan will take the titles, the fact is this just makes too good of a story line for the WWE to use. But in that would this mean the end of Team Hell No? Another great story line for the WWE, but we will see.
Chris Jericho vs. C.M. Punk
This is the “Best in the World” match-up that again we all have waited for, also the return of one of the most loved/hated characters in the WWE, C.M.Punk. There are many ways we could lean on this one, fact is we are just stoked that Punk and Jericho are set to face off once again.
Prediction: I find it hard to believe that Punk will lose in his return back to the WWE and also I find it hard to believe that Punk will lose in his hometown of Chicago. With this one all I can say is well played WWE, not only do you get Punk back but you also do it in his hometown.
Ryback vs. John Cena
In this match we have the two men with the most to settle, Ryback tired of being in the shadow of John Cena and Cena tired of listening to Ryback whine about not getting his shot. The fact is both men have shown there is no love lost between both and they are ready to handle their business in the three stages of hell match.
Prediction: I believe it is Ryback’s time, but at the same time this will be one of the most brutal matches that we have seen over the years. Ryback will walk away as the new WWE champion but know this Cena will get his rematch and this could be a feud that could be long lasting.
There are other matches that will be going on but we wanted to highlight these four, we will see if our predictions pan out. Don’t forget to tune in Sunday night for the Pay-Per-View Payback and let us know what you think of our predictions.
